Principal's Message

Todd Stockwell
Dear Doss Parents/Guardians,

I hope that each of you are staying safe and healthy during these very unusual times. On Thursday February 25th, the Jefferson County Board of Education voted to resume in person learning in Jefferson County for high school students on Monday, April 5th.  All students will resume on a “hybrid” schedule, where students will only physically be in school two days a week. When you return is determined by the first letter of your last name. The schedule is:

Burgundy Days (A)– 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th
Gold Days (B)– 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th
A Students – Last Names A-K
B Students – Last Names L-Z

If you haven’t already, families are encouraged to make their selection to continue learning virtually or switch to in-person instruction on the JCPS website.

Currently, we are finalizing our school specific schedule for when we return to school. We will send out the final schedule with a full explanation for how it impacts face to face or virtual students in the next week. We will also send out a Google form to allow all parents/guardians to ask questions prior to our
return to school.

The link below will take you to Doss High School’s full Reopening Plan. This covers systems and procedures for our safe return to school. Please let me know if you have any questions about this plan or our return to school schedule: Return to School District Portal.

We will be sending out much more information about our return to physical school in the next few weeks.  I am very excited about getting back to school and to be able to start seeing students in-person. Please reach out if you have any questions about returning to school or with our virtual school option. I hope to see many of you soon. Stay safe and healthy.
