Principal's Message

Todd Stockwell
Dragon Nation,

Welcome Back!! It has been so nice to see students back in the hallways, and to get the 2021-2022 school year started. The first 14 school days have been fantastic. Thank you to the entire Doss community for stepping up and ensuring that we have systems in place to make sure all students are successful. I couldn’t be prouder of our students and staff for their hard work and positive attitude to start the school year. I see great things on the horizon for Doss, and I look forward to seeing the awesome accomplishments of our students throughout the school year.

As you know, we started a new alternating block schedule for the 2021-2022 school year. This schedule includes an “Acceleration” period that occurs during Gold Days. This specialized period allows for additional support for all students in all academic contents throughout the school year. This time is during the school day and can be used for interventions and enrichment. All students received a Chromebook last week during Acceleration!! The Chromebooks should be brought to school and taken home each day. This technology will be used daily and will help each individual student grow socially and academically throughout the year. Chromebooks  will also play a critical role in each student’s success during acceleration  throughout the year. Here is our 2021-2022 Burgundy/Gold Schedule:

2021-2022 Doss Daily Schedule

All Fall Sports have started for the 2021-2022 School Year. Our Football, Boys and  Girl Soccer, Volleyball, and Cross Country are off and running. Earlier this year, we had students complete a survey to express interest in sports/clubs for the school year. We had over 300 students sign up to get more information!! One of my primary goals for this school year is to get students more involved in extracurricular activities. If your student is interested in any club/sport, please email our  athletic director, Danny McCreedy. You can reach him at You can also view every club or sport we offer at:

Finally, our Open House will take place on Thursday September 2nd from 5:30-7:30 virtually. Information has been sent home to families on how to log in and participate. I would always prefer to be face-to-face, but given the current climate, I think it is more responsible to limit exposure and keep everything virtual. Please give the school a call at 485-8239 with any questions.

Thanks again for an awesome start to the school year. Stay safe and healthy.
